Hamburg's first low-cost design hotel was opened in November 2003 according to an extraordinary concept in design and entertainment. 25hours is, as the name suggests, something out of the ordinary - trendy, creative, spontaneous and communicative.

Modern design, an informal atmosphere and several communal areas such as our restaurant with bar, our lounge and our roof terrace will make your stay a remarkable experience.

The guest rooms and studios provide space and freedom, and will win you over with the clarity of their design, retro style and playful details.

Almost all rooms have been individually designed by young designers. The sophisticated, functional design, open spaces and rounded corners create a unique ambience.

Food & beverage

The restaurant with bar offers a fusion of German and Italian cuisine in a lively atmosphere and at moderate prices.

Spend an evening in the Wohnzimmer lounge with its stylish fireplace. Adjacent to it you will fine the “meet and eat” area, with a long bar inviting you for a drink.

Area information

The hotel is only 6 km away from Hamburg's city centre. It is situated directly next to the Forum Altes Gaswerk - a landmark park, shopping and fitness centre. In a few minutes, you can reach the vibrant centre of Ottensen with its many restaurants, bars, art galleries and boutiques.

You can walk to a bus stop in less than 5 minutes. The Bahrenfeld S-Bahn (city rail) station is also within comfortable reach. From here, you can quickly reach all parts of the city, including the Altona ICE train station .

The hotel is only a few minutes from the A7 motorway’s Bahrenfeld slip road and airport. The river Elbe is also nearby.

From December 2008, you can take the S-bahn (city rail) line S1 to Fuhlsbüttel Airport. The direct journey from the hotel to the airport takes about 40 minutes.

Travel information

Arriving by car:
- Take the A7 motorway and exit at Bahrenfeld
- Continue towards the centre (Zentrum) along Osdorfer Weg, which leads through Von-Sauer-Straße and on to Bahrenfelder Chaussee
- Turn right into Bahrenfelder Steindamm and then right again into the road Beim Alten Gaswerk

Arriving by public transport:
From Hamburg's main railway station:
- Take the S-Bahn (city rail) line S1 towards Wedel or Blankenese and get out at HH-Bahrenfeld
OR
- Take the S21 towards Elbgaustraße or the S31 towards Altona and get out at Holstenstraße
- From there take bus number 3 towards Bahrenfeld/Trabrennbahn or Schenefelder Platz
- Get out at Bornkampsweg

From Altona station:
- Take the S1 line towards Wedel or Blankenese and get out at the Bahrenfeld stop.
