The hotel has 2 function rooms, the Stuart Lounge, which can accommodate up to twelve people in a boardroom-style arramgement, and the Grosvenor Suite which can accommodate up to 100 people. The Grosvenor Suite is ideal for weddings, business meetings, conferences or private functions. Flexible seating means it can accommodate anything from 30 people (in a horseshoe-style arrangement) to 100 people (in a theatre-style arrangement).
All of the hotel's 28 rooms are comfortable and tastefully appointed.
Some rooms overlook St Mary Street, the main street in Cardiff’s city centre, with its many shops, restaurants and bars. Alternatively, other, quieter rooms are available at the rear of the hotel.
All rooms now feature a wall-mounted LCD flat-screen TV with built-in Freeview channels.
Situated on the ground floor level, the bar and restaurant offers an excellent menu to suit all tastes, good value for money and great entertainment.
Open 11:00 to 01:00, Monday to Saturday, and from 12:00 to 19:00 on Sundays, the bar and restaurant boasts live jazz and blues in the evening, from Monday to Friday.
The hotel is located in the heart of Cardiff’s vibrant city centre, within easy walking distance of all of the city’s many attractions, including the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Castle. St. David's Hall, Cardiff International Arena, Cardiff Museum, Cardiff University, the Civic Centre and all of the city’s shopping centres are also nearby.
Cardiff Bay (3 km) - Europe's most exciting waterfront development features a diverse mix of internationally acclaimed visitor attractions, activities and entertainment coupled with vibrant cosmopolitan bars, shops and restaurants all situated around a manmade freshwater lake with over 13 km of waterfront.
Cardiff Castle (0.2 km) - Discover 2000 years of history in the heart of the city. From the coming of the Romans, through the Norman Conquest to lavish Victorian design - all have left their distinctive mark on the Castle for you to explore.
The Millennium Stadium (0.1 km) - Since it's opening in June 1999, the Millennium Stadium has welcomed over 1.3 million visitors a year. With the first retractable roof in the UK, the Stadium is a multi-purpose, all-round venue.
Cardiff Civic Centre (1 km) - Cardiff's justifiably famous civic centre in Cathays Park covers 60 acres and features some beautiful buildings in the style of Austrian Baroque (with overtones of French Baroque). Situated to the north of the castle and the central business area of the city, the park includes the National Museum and Gallery of Wales, City Hall and Law Courts.
By Car (from the east and west):
- Leave the M4 at junction 32 and follow the A470 to the city centre.
- After passing the castle, turn left into Westgate Street, with the Angel Hotel on the corner. There are car parks on Westgate Street, with parking available at an additional cost.
- St. Mary Street is adjacent to Westgate Street, running parallel alongside it. The hotel is located 2 doors down from Howells department store.

Parking:
The hotel has an arrangement with a nearby car park and guests are entitled to a discount on the additional cost of parking. The car park is locked shut between 18:30 and 08:00, with your car inside. It is closed after 11:00 on Sundays. Alternatively, the hotel can guide you to other 24-hour car parks, all of which are within a few minutes' walk of the hotel.
By Train/Bus:
Exit either station onto Wood Street and then turn right into St. Mary Street. At the junction, turn left and the hotel is located on the right-hand side.
